How Octavio Cordova makes his prices do the selling

Don Vito Cucina is a family-style Italian restaurant in Cumbayá, Ecuador, opened about seven years ago by Octavio Cordova after a friend offered him the space. It started big, with more than 20 staff, and he has since shrunk it into something smaller and more intimate. Asked what he uses PosterMyWall for, his answer is one word: everything. He wanted to make his own marketing without hiring outside help. The piece he cares about most is the menu, because a good one brings people in.

He treats it as brand work, not admin. White type on stark black for an elegant look, nothing flashy, with the black and white logo carrying hints of red and green for the Italian flag. He photographs his best dishes himself and uses enough images to tempt without crowding the page, because seeing the dish is what makes people order it. Descriptions, prices, offers, and contact details all go on, and he writes the details down on paper before designing so nothing gets left off. During the pandemic he swapped printed cards for QR codes, and he can update the whole thing in minutes.
